LOS ANGELES- In a selfless act that has helped restore faith in humanity for many, an anonymous Good Samaritan has donated 1 million Facebook Likes to a charitable cause.
“For every Like this picture gets, Facebook will donate $1,” read the caption of a heart-wrenching photo depicting the medical inspection of a service puppy battling doggy halitosis. The service puppy’s owner was apparently unable to pay the bill for the sick puppy since his house had recently burned down.
The picture, owned by thisisnotahoax.com, had received only a handful of Likes and even fewer shares, until the arrival of the nameless philanthropist changed everything.
Kathy Horchester, one of the few citizens concerned enough to share the photo on her wall, explained her joy when she saw the Likes:
“I was absolutely overwhelmed when I saw what happened. I am so happy to know that there are still good, caring people in this world, both the donor, and Facebook ,who now gets to pay $1 Million to help that adorable little animal.”
The anonymous donor, who is now being called the Saint of Social Media, was unavailable for an interview because he or she is apparently “engaged in helping secure the family fortune of a Nigerian prince from the hands of conspirators.”
